Nurturing two birds with one stone

You see, I’ve had an interior decorating book for years. I don’t only use it for inspiration but also for just browsing, because it is filled with rooms and ideas that appeal to aspects of my personal decorating style.

Recently, as part of my daily art sessions, I began sketching “a vignette within a vignette”.  I’d choose a photo and zero in on a section and sketch it.

When I completed this one, I realized that I am catering to an old passion (interior decorating)  through my new and growing passion for sketching with pen and ink and watercolour – nurturing two birds with one stone.
