Know and Love your Reader

Whether we write poetry or prose, fiction or non-fiction, we should write from our hearts. Of course, the practice, the project and the process will always hold their own challenges, which undoubtedly scare us. Nevertheless, braving those fears and managing those challenges will support and inspire us as we write from our hearts.

John Verdon, author of  Think of a Number, Shut Your Eyes Tight and his latest, Let the Devil Sleep, took this a step further. He wrote for a reader he cared about (his wife) and he cared about the reader he wrote for. He shares his story in this article: Knowing and Loving the Reader.
