What makes your life good

On Facebook, Victoria Gaines said,

“I asked the little girl how she’s doing. “Well, good!” she said. “I’ve got friends and I’ve got cookies!”

Children are so wise and honest. With friends and cookies, the little girl knows she’s got it made and she’s neither afraid nor ashamed to admit it.

How about you? What makes your life good?

  1. Definitely blog friends like you, Cheryl 🙂

And writing, expressing my heart. Live music, which moves me like nothing else. My vegetable garden which is producing the best tomatoes this summer.

And the chocolate ice cream I'm about to have with my family at the close of another 90+ degree day!

  3. Hey Lloyd,

I'm glad to hear that you enjoy my posts.

Your blog rocks! The posts I read made me feel as if I was in Sunday School class.

Your love for God and His word and you obedience to His call for a circumspect life/walk is evident.

God bless and please, come back and visit here soon.

  4. What a fun and heartfelt post! Right now, cupcakes. Made by my daughter for my b'day. Chocolate with handformed butterflies made of more chocolate and orange…It took her 4 hours to make them and I am so honored and blessed that she did this for me…all from her.

What else? Friends, blog friends (you), loving family, warm weather, blue skies, Bay, coffee, creativity, Spirit, souls, books! Oh, Cheryl, too many to name.

Just today I was thinking, really feeling, how amazingly good my life is right now. Because there have been many years when it wasn't. When there was so much struggle. I felt today like pinching myself to see if I was really awake. Life is good.

    Sending big love to you!

  5. Jan,

So instead of just Friday, you’re having a week-long celebration which started with fancy shmancy cupcakes?

You mentioned a significant makes-my-life-good item – the past, when you wrote, “Because there have been many years when it wasn't. When there was so much struggle. I felt today like pinching myself to see if I was really awake. Life is good.”

If we take the time, we can rack up a list of things, people, activities, memories and present-day circumstances that make our lives good. Maybe that is what we should do (much like a list of blessings or things we’re grateful for). Of course we won’t remember everything at one sitting so, we could try a week-long project to record of all the things that make our lives good.

We'd be pinching ourselves silly for a long time.
